Server+ is a certification that validates an individual's knowledge of advanced hardware issues. The first certification of its kind in the marketplace, it helps individuals certify their advanced technical knowledge of planning, installing, configuring, and maintaining servers. Major vendors have formally endorsed Server+ as a prerequisite for working with their hardware.
Intended Audience
Students enrolling in this course should have a strong understanding of personal computer concepts, an intermediate understanding of networking concepts, and considerable experience with installing and upgrading hardware and software components. For the exam, CompTIA recommends 18 to 24 months' experience working with installing advanced (server) hardware.
